TRANS-SUPPORT

TRANS-Support Lake County is a transgender support group that meets monthly. The meeting is open to anyone who falls under the trans umbrella, their family, and friends. TRANS-Support is a safe space for all who fit somewhere in the transgender spectrum or are searching.

There is a huge deficit in our area’s trans-educated health care providers, endocrinologists, mental health counselors, employment, organizations, and social service workers. Leaving many transgender persons feeling isolated, confused, and even hopeless in their struggle to understand themselves, and feel accepted in their social networks. We hope to help bridge that gap by providing a medium for sharing relevant information, educating the community about issues affecting transgender persons, and offering a safe place to discuss real-world problems without fear of judgment or discrimination.
