WE ARE Roy Bottiggi

Roy Bottiggi grew up in Mentor and has lived his whole life in Lake County. He currently resides in Willoughby with his wife and is the father of two girls.

Roy works at Ernst and Young in Technology Consulting focusing on large scale agile transformations. In addition to his IT work, he leads Diversity & Inclusion activities within his EY global practice, leads EY Northeast Ohio’s College Now Mentoring relationship, leads EY’s EY Northeast Ohio’s LGBT professional network. He has represented EY at Out & Equal, NGLCC (National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce), and Lesbians Who Tech. At Out & Equal, he co-led a discussion on trans inclusion in the workplace. 

Roy served on the Human Rights Campaigns steering committee where he led community engagement, ran pride events and led the HRC Gala auction. He believes that it’s his responsibility to use his privileges to be a voice to the voiceless and to amplify voices that aren’t heard loud enough. He has seen the need for and importance of groups like LGBTQ + Allies Lake County that provide safe spaces, love, and support to the LGBTQIA community, and he is extremely proud to have the opportunity to stand up for our community.
