WE ARE Andrew Caruso

Andrew Caruso is a lifelong Ohioan, but a relative newcomer to Lake County, having moved to Painesville from his native Cuyahoga Falls six years ago when he married his husband Richard.

Andrew has a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Kent State University but has spent most of his career in the Healthcare field, first as Director of Activities for several area eldercare facilities and currently in the transportation department for a local Mental Health company.

Andrew came out in high school over 20 years ago, and served on the leadership team for PRIDE! Kent, the LQBTQ+ student organization at Kent State during his entire tenure in college. You’ve probably seen him at local Pride events sporting giant rainbow butterfly wings or other outlandish rainbow regalia, as being an active, outspoken, and highly visible advocate for LQBTQ+ rights is a privilege he takes very seriously.
